it’s about that time of year where we make our bold predictions and show off how well we’re able to analyze basketball. unfortunately for me, i’ve hardly been following the nba or any basketball for that matter, so this should be a laughable prediction blog. enjoy.
Bulls vs Sixers – BULLS in 5*
no explanation needed really, *so long as DRose is healthy i dont see why the Bulls dont take out the sixers easily. if Rose is out, maybe it goes 6 games, but thibodeau’s D takes them out. Rose, or no Rose.
Heat vs Knicks – Heat in 5
it should really be Heat in 4.. but Melo is playing out of his mind with all the defense and aggressiveness. with no Lin, Knicks have no chance at this (even with Lin, they would still go down). Knicks are playing better basketball but im not convinced that anyone beats the Heat this year.
Pacers vs Magic – Magic in 6
if the magic weren’t my team i wouldnt have so much faith in this Howardless team. i must say though its nice not hearing anything about D12, the trade for Bynum should have happened long ago.
Celtics vs Hawks – Celtics in 4
the Hawks without Horford does not bode well for these inconsistent Hawks. Rondo has 3 triple doubles and the Celts rest up.
Spurs vs Jazz – Spurs in 5
the spurs have one last shot at this.. but i will not care what happens in this series, neither should you.
Thunder vs Mavs – Thunder in 5
i would have picked the Mavs if they kept Chandler.. how do you let a center like tyson just walk away from you? Mavs have no chance against this young team.
Lakers vs Nuggets – Lakers in 5
the nuggets play a great team game, but they have no one to match up against the twin towers and Kobe whos playing like, well, Kobe. anyone paying attention to kobe breaking 38 tonight?
Memphis vs Clippers – Clippers in 6
only because the Clippers have Chris Paul. Memphis looked good last year though. and have Rudy this year, so we’ll see.
well then.. doesnt appear to be too many upsets in the first round. but then again, with so many banged up players due to the lockout. it’ll be interesting to see how many teams were holding off to be healthy and whos been saving the best for this time of the year. i love this game.
